About
Royal Coast Labs was founded in 2026 in Rochester, New York, by Regis Joseph Acosta. It owns a portfolio of software products and is building the team that runs them.
Founder
Regis Joseph Acosta
A lawyer, AI solutions architect and adjunct faculty member who has spent his career inside the institutions the lab builds for. He practices law, has deployed AI with attorneys and federal agencies, teaches at Nazareth University, and has built every product in the lab's portfolio.
That is the lab's advantage and its starting point: products built from inside the fields they change, by someone who does the work those fields do.
The name
Regis means king and Acosta means by the coast. A coast is also where two worlds meet and reshape each other, which is where the lab looks for its products.
The team we are building
One person builds well. A lab needs a team that makes products earn.
Today the lab is its founder. These are the roles that turn it into a team, in the order we expect to fill them.

Makes every product earn: pricing, launches, growth, billing, and any sale. A partner role, for someone who wants to grow many products rather than one.

We build here and sell everywhere.
Lower costs stretch every dollar, which matters more for a lab running several products than for a startup betting on one. The University of Rochester and RIT train excellent engineers and designers, and most of them leave after graduating. Nazareth University gives the lab a direct line to faculty. We would rather that talent stayed and built.
So far
- 2023: The Olive Branch Review goes live.
- 2024: research on Simon begins.
- 2026: the lab is founded. LegacyMGMT ships on the App Store in July, and Caddie reaches a working proof of concept in September.
