Royal Coast Labs is a home for builders at the start of their careers. We look for the gaps the status quo leaves open and build the products that fill them, starting with Caddie, which lets college instructors grade with AI without exposing their students. The lab owns and runs everything it makes.

Caddie
An AI workspace that drafts grading feedback against a college instructor's own rubric, and removes students and the people in their lives before any AI model reads the work.
Our lead product, live by invitation at caddiereader.com. It has not yet read real student work, and it publishes its measured results, including where it falls short.
The Olive Branch Review
A hub for readers and a community for writers, who publish stories, poems, essays and reviews, give each other feedback, and enter themed competitions.
LegacyMGMT
A realism-first life and dynasty simulator where players build a fortune and a family that outlast three generations. The lab's first shipped product.
All Hail the Leader
A pixel-art game of power and succession in an invented one-party state. Players start as a village official and work their way, and their family's, toward the top.

How the lab works
Solve it, then prove it.
Every product starts with someone on the team and stays with the lab. It has to earn its place, and the people who build it are free to start the next one.
We build
Anyone on the team can pitch a product. Each idea gets a quick prototype that answers one question, and most never go further.
We run
One shared team takes a product from live test to growth and makes it earn, while its builder moves on to the next idea.
We decide
Every year, each product is held if it pays its way, sold if a buyer can take it further, or retired if it cannot cover its costs.

Where Rochester's next builders start.
Too many jobs ask for five to ten years of experience and pay an entry-level wage. We would rather bet on potential. The lab hires for energy, creativity and hunger, gives people real products to build, and gives them a share in the ones they start.

The lab was founded in 2026 by Regis Joseph Acosta, a lawyer, AI solutions architect and adjunct faculty member at Nazareth University who has built every product in the portfolio.
